"The Final Out"
The History of LSU Baseball

Who would have been able to guess that this image of the Tigers winning it all after “the final out” would be a coincidental forecast of the Tigers winning their first Baseball National Championship just four months later!  Of further interest,
is that the player chosen to pose for this painting, Gary Hymel, was placed in the central position with his hand raised in the “We’re Number 1” gesture and was to become the College World Series Most Valuable Player that year.

In the Spring of 1991, Jaubert created an image as a fund-raiser for the
LSU Baseball support organization, The Coaches Committee.

The artist created an image of the team winning it all.  The team went on to win it all in that same season!

500 Signed and Numbered prints were produced to support the Baseball program.
The print is
SOLD OUT.
