The proud and rich history of LSU
Football comes out in this powerful painting. Players from
throughout the years
emerge from images of football legends. Note
that the number on the jersey of each player represents the year of
that team. For instance, the player with jersey number 49
represents the 1949 team, player number 61 represents the 1961 team
and so-forth. Note that in the mid-1930s and going back to the
“teens,” the number was only on the back of the jerseys.
