This beautiful couple has much to be
proud of. Jaubert chose to blend images of their families
throughout the length of the painting. Starting at the top of the
painting, one sees the respective parents, and, working down the
painting, images of the couple growing up, getting married, having
children, of their children getting married and then of their
children’s children.
This is a beautiful painting that
has the qualities of both a formal portrait and a collage of the
loved ones in a couple’s life.
